Welcome to the Missouri Area Board

The center of energy, and the anchor of the American Cancer Society volunteer leadership structure is the Missouri Area Board.

The Board will be committed to help steward a high performing, innovative and reimagined MO American Cancer Society that connects the Mission to advocacy and sustained revenue growth; that innovates to meet the needs of diverse populations; that is metric driven, celebrating risk and pivoting its approach based on early outcomes; that is relentlessly pursuant of driving sustained impact and relevance within all MO communities.  The Board will accomplish this through three key areas:

  • Revenue:  cultivate new revenue sources by leveraging personal and professional relationships and bolstering ACS’s impact by supporting its fundraising staff and activities

  • Connector:  serve as an ambassador for ACS by actively advocating the mission, values, and key priorities of the Missouri Area

  • Strategy:  assist ACS in fulfilling its mission by providing perspective and professional feedback to shape priorities and initiatives, impact revenue and advocacy, and drive influence in a diverse MO community.
